Every UI has a UI Designer
What is UI?
First things first. If you started reading this article and have no idea what UI is, here is a quick explanation: UI stands for User Interface. Meaning it is the thing that lets you use stuff. For example, the user interface for a laptop is the keyboard and mouse. The user interface for a website is the buttons on the page. etc… etc… Alright, now you should have a basic understanding of what UI means let’s get into the article.
Ui Appreciation
I started learning web programming about 3 years ago. When I started I never really knew what UI was and never showed much appreciation for it. As an example: I’m on a website and I click a button. Before I learned to program I would only be focused on how long that action was going to take and not too concerned about how it looked. However, now I click a button and it has this really neat animation, and I think.. how did they do that? Then I show much more appreciation for just a simple button.

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is I think after learning web design I take much more time exploring UIs and learning from good UI designs. I have found the greatest UI design ever… What is it? That’s why I wrote this article. So keep on reading.
Most used UI
What would you say is the UI that you use the most, more than any other UI? It could be an app like JW Library, an os like Samsung, a website like google.com, or just some odd thing like the UI on your coffee maker 🤣. I want you to keep that UI in mind whatever it may be, and I’m going to make a quick guess and say that I’m 90% sure you picked the wrong one. You may ask: “So what is the right answer?“…
It’s the UI that controls your unconscious mind. WHAT?!? Technically it is a UI that lets us do so many things. But why do we never think of it as a UI? It’s because of the way it is made. Jehovah designed it in such a way as to make us feel we have ultimate control. This is a trick some of the best UI designers copy/stole from Jehovah. The rest of this article is about things I personally find most amazing about this UI.
UX
“Oh no,” You may say, not another acronym. UX is simple, It stands for user experience, meaning this is the experience you have whether good or bad with a UI. This is the first thing I find most amazing about our UI. It has one of the best UXs ever. How? Our experience with this UI is so good that we don’t even recognize it as a UI. Jehovah designed our conscious brain to feel that it is in control of everything. But in actuality, it controls so little. As an example, we have no control over our heart, stomach, kidneys, pancreas, and the list goes on… we have none whatsoever, our unconscious brain monitors everything. The sheer amount of data our brain receives is an overwhelming billions of pressure sensors, billions of temperature sensors, and many other things like audio and our eyes. All of this data coming unceasingly and somehow our brain never explodes!? The other thing is we don’t have to actively think about processing all that data. It does it all autonomously. One article from Time Magazine made this great illustration:
“The conscious you, in effect, is like a not terribly bright CEO, whose subordinates do all of the research, draft all of the documents, then lay them out and say, “Sign here, sir.” The CEO does—and takes the credit.” Time Magazine
Search feature!
Most programmers struggle with search algorithms (I wonder who that is? 🤣). They’re super difficult to design, build, and optimize for performance. Few have mastered it (like Google). But most are just way too slow. However, Jehovah has mastered it and given us a search feature in our brains. Really in our unconscious brain. I find this very intriguing to think about. What is our brain really doing when we are trying to remember something? If you try it out yourself our conscious brain really isn’t thinking of anything when we are trying to remember something. It’s just awaiting the results from the unconscious brain. What’s even more intriguing is that sometimes our conscious brain just gets a little too impatient/bored and starts doing other stuff. However, it seems that the search keeps running and once it is complete it pops into our conscious brain and we yell: ” Oh that’s the name of the movie!“. Once again, conscious brain takes credit for doing all the “hard work” Lol.
Storage
Moving on to point 3. Storage! This is a really awesome facet of our brain. Our brain has virtually unlimited storage. How? Scientists believe our brain stores things in connections between neurons. We have billions of neurons and every single neuron could be connected to every other neuron. Making a huge amount of storage. I’m not going to type much more about this since Scientists only know a very small bit about brain storage, and we don’t store things as computers do. So there really isn’t much comparison that could be made.
Automation
We’re getting to some really cool stuff now. Have you ever tried automating your computer to do something? If not, trust me it’s not the easiest thing in the world. More often than not, it’s extremely hard to automate something so simple. How does our brain compare? We don’t have to try to automate anything but our brain does.
Example: I learned how to play piano for about 2 years. I learned a couple of songs, and learned how to read music. One day I was playing a song without any sheet music, and someone asked me how did I remember all those notes? 🤯 I have no idea. When I am playing a song that I’ve played many times before, I’m able to play the song while my conscious brain does nothing. How? Because of what I like to call Autonomous Automation. Better known as muscle memory. The first time I play a song I have to read the music and play really slowly. Then each time I play I get faster and faster all the while I’m still using my conscious brain trying to remember the next note. But each time I play I use my conscious brain less and less as my unconscious brain sets up an automatic function that can play the song without even thinking, and much faster than before.

I was going to write about one more thing, but I think this article is long enough. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and show more appreciation for such an incredible UI, made by our loving God Jehovah.
